AJoining PishieSpree as a Participant

  • Membership is open to everyone. To join PishieSpree as a participant, all you need is register for a free PishiePoshie account.

BJoining PishieSpree as an Organizer

  • Anyone can apply to be a Spree Organizer. Simply fill up this application form and send it to us. Once approved, you will see an "Add Entry" link on the Sprees section.

Part II - Responsibilities

AResponsibilities of Spree Organizers

  • You are to assume full responsibility for sprees organized by yourself, and to be held responsible for resolving any and all problems that may arise during the course of the spree. You are also expected to honor the promises made to Spree Participants, and reply to any query that Spree Participants may have.
  • Spree Sites Restrictions
Sprees are permitted only for web-based online stores where spree participants have the freedom of choice to purchase what they want. Items and their respective prices have to be clearly displayed on these websites.

All other forms of sprees are strictly not allowed.
  • Agent
If there is the need to engage the services of a third party (note: not personal shopper), you will need to enter the agent's relevant information in the provided "Agent Info" field when adding a spree. Note that if you're getting a friend to help, no extra fee is to be collected.
  • Currency exchange rate
All exchange rates are to be calculated using the following formula:

Google's exchange rate x 1.035 (rounded to 2 decimal figures)
1.035 = 3.5% extra, which is what online websites usually adds onto their exchange rates

Google provides currency exchange rates (courtesy of Citibank) on their search site. Simply enter search string in the following format to view the current rate:
    1 <foreign currency> in SGD

Example: Find the currency exchange rate of USD
Google search for "1 USD in SGD", which will give you 1.3504006. Multiply that by 1.035, the result is 1.40 (rounded to 2 decimal figures), which is what you will use as your exchange rate.

If your bank or spree site charges a higher exchange rate than what is provided by these guidelines, you will have to provide a photographed or scanned image of your bank statement showing the individual amount deducted for your spree (blank out all other confidential information). Post the image on your spree's forum post, then proceed to place the claim from your Spree Participants.

  • Initial shipping fee
You are allowed to collect a maximum of S$3 per item upfront. All excesses from initial shipping fee collected are to be refunded or used to offset other charges.
  • Acknowledge orders/payments
Please do not accept orders more than you can handle, even if Spree Participants disregard the spree cap.
  • Spree updates
You are encouraged to post all and any updates to your spree's forum post. It is mandatory to update within 2 days after closing the spree, after which, please provide updates whenever necessary. If there is really nothing to update for a long period of time (e.g. anything more than 2 weeks), it will be good to just inform the spree participants that there is nothing to update. As all Spree Participants (those who replied to your forum post) are subscribed to the post by default, PishiePoshie will automatically send out mass emails to them, notifying them of updates to your spree - saving you large amounts of time and effort.
  • Cost breakdown
A breakdown of all charges incurred in the spree must be given as an update post.
  • Handling fee
You are ONLY allowed to charge a maximum of $0.50 handling fee per participant (inclusive of the cost of an envelope, scotch tape, marker ink, transport fees, bubblewrap) in any scenario. If you need to collect more, justify it. The $0.50 is not per item, but per participant. Please take note.

No handling fee of $0.50 is allowed to be charged when meet-up is chosen. If you want to charge the handling fee of $0.50 for meetups, please justify the collection, then seek acknowledgement & approval from your participants first before doing so.
  • Distribution
Please arrange for and distribute the spree items within 2 weeks after their arrival. Local postal rates are available at singpost.com. Please decide the appropriate packaging type for the different items wisely, and provide Spree Participants with the choices.

Inform spree participants of their registered article tracking numbers once their packages have been mailed out. You can do so by sending them private messages on PishiePoshie, instead of the hassle of mass emailing them yourself.
  • No profiting allowed.
PishieSpree is strictly for non-profiting spreeing. Every cent collected from the spree participants has to be accounted for. No confiscation of funds is allowed under any circumstances. Any spree organizer found to be unreliable will face an immediate ban.

You must place your own items into consideration when calculating shipping costs. If anyone suspects that a Spree Organizer of mishandling of finances, please inform us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

  • Always try to be nice and polite. Spree Organizers are providing us a great service, and sometimes things can get really hectic for them. The job of PishieSpree is to make things easy for both Spree Organizers and Participants in this case.
  • Read and understand the Spree Organizers' spree terms and conditions before joining the spree. Follow the order format and payment mode exactly as given. This is the explicit responsibility of all Spree Participants.
  • Double check that the spree is still open and the spree cap has not been exceeded before making payment to the organizer. You can do so by going through the forum posts. Be considerate and do not burden the spree organizer with more orders than she's willing to take in.
  • Make prompt payment, and inform organizer upon payment. If you're caught giving any false transaction reference number, you'll be banned from the Sprees forum board.
  • You must subscribe to the original spree forum post to keep track of spree status, and to receive email updates whenever the Spree Organizer updates the post.
  • Claim your items by the deadline given by the spree organizer, otherwise they will be allowed to confiscate your items and do whatever they please with them.
  • Spree organizers will not be held liable for lost normal mail. Do check with the other spree participants to see if they have received their packages and bring it up to the moderators if you suspect something is amiss.
  • Please do not clutter the forum post with useless requests and comments. Keep them for ordering purposes as much as possible. If you need to inquire anything from the Spree Organizers, please send them a PM instead.
  • You are highly encouraged to leave feedback for the spree organizers:

Positive – you will definitely join future sprees by the same organizer.
Neutral – spree experience was okay, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.
    Negative – horrible experience.

Part III - General Spree Post Guidelines

APosting of Sprees

  • All spree entries MUST be posted to PishieSpree on PishiePoshie, NOT to your own personal website/blog.
  • Absolutely NO external links are allowed on your spree post, except the website your spree is based on.
  • All PishieSpree entries are moderated before approval.

BFeedbacks

  • Organizer's feedback rating will be displayed on all sprees automatically.
  • Participants are encouraged to leave a feedback for every spree they participate.
  • PishieSprees uses our very own Feedback feature. It collects rating as well as feedback, making it more accurate. If you feel the feedback feature can be improved, please let us know.

  • You must leave the name of the merchant you are spreeing from.
  • You need not state the status of the spree on the title
  • Example: My Forever21 Spree

DSummary and Description

  • Summary: Only 1 image allowed (max 400x400). Please keep it concise and to the point. The summary will also be displayed on the spree's forum post.
  • Description: No limit on number of images, but please keep it sensible. Max size 400x400 per image.

EPost Screening and Moderation

  • As the Spree Organizer, you have certain control over the posts made for your spree. You may limit posts to only legitimate orders, meaning users will not be allowed to post a comment if it does not include a real order. Participants can still contact you via PM.
  • You may also set your Spree to "Strict Cap". This means no orders can be made that will exceed your cap.

FAll Orders Must Be Posted on PishiePoshie

  • Spree Organizers are discouraged from taking orders via email or other external sources. You should get potential participants to sign up at PishiePoshie, so that our system can properly moderate and protect your spree for you.

Part IV - Miscellaneous

  • No IP-based Sprees
To protect both our Spree Organizers and Participants, PishiePoshie will not allow any spree that is based on products categorized as Intellectual Property (IP) such as, but not limited to, DVDs, CDs, eBooks, Computer Games, Movies etc.
  • Updating Sprees
After a spree has been approved, Spree Organizers will only be able to update the Status field of the spree. This is to protect Participants who have already transferred the money.
  • Rejected Spree Application
As much as possible, we will always provide a reason for rejecting your spree.
  • Open System
PishiePoshie has decided to adopt an open system when it comes to active moderation. Because we have a system that helps control Spree organization and participation, we feel that no extreme forms of moderation are necessary (ie banning, deleting of accounts etc). We respect the sensibilities of our users, and believe we all know how to handle problems correctly if they arise.

Also, since all sprees are posted only after approval, and critical parts of the spree may not be changed after approval, Participants may take part in the sprees with an ease of mind.
